Activities
Within the Regional Center for Researcher Career Guidance in the South-West Oltenia region, the following types of activities are carried out:
1.Career guidance activities for researchers
- 1.1. provision of a researcher career guidance service;
- 1.2. provision of advanced researcher career guidance services, consisting of personalized assistance aimed at writing research projects, writing scientific articles, science communication, research ethics, such as organizing training sessions and providing access to research career counselors, mentoring, and coaching sessions;
- 1.3. continuous professional training dedicated to Romanian/foreign researchers and those temporarily in RDI organizations;
- 1.3.1. continuous professional training dedicated to Romanian researchers and those temporarily in RDI organizations;
- 1.3.2. improving research quality, continuous training program for Romanian researchers;
- 1.3.3. strategies for developing the competitiveness of researchers from RDI organizations in Romania;
- 1.3.4. continuous professional training dedicated to foreign researchers and those temporarily in RDI organizations;
- 1.4. studies, surveys regarding researcher career guidance needs in the development region where the researcher career guidance center will operate;
- 1.5. working groups regarding researcher career guidance needs in the development region where the researcher career guidance center will operate;
- 1.6. organization of Romanian language courses for international researchers;
- 1.7. organization of networking events to facilitate community integration of researchers from outside Romania;
- 1.8. assistance provided to researchers from abroad for integration into the scientific community and for establishing tax residency;
- 1.9. specific academic career management activities for researchers (career progress monitoring, personalized assistance, counseling).
2. Activities for promoting research and attracting young people to a research career
- 2.1. promotion of research results in society;
- 2.2. science promotion visits to schools and high schools;
- 2.3. facilitation of internships for students in RDI organizations;
- 2.4. development of programs aimed at young people from schools and high schools, focused on their involvement in scientific experiments. Unlike science promotion visits to schools and high schools, these programs aimed at young people take place in laboratories, research centers, research infrastructures, etc.;
- 2.5. organization of debate-type events with the participation of various local actors, focused on concepts derived from research and their consequences for community life;
- 2.6. organization of interactive events such as science cafés with invited personalities with remarkable scientific results, to present the field they represent and answer questions. These events will be organized based on the exploitation of public results from projects already funded through the European Union’s RDI Framework Programme, focused on the role of science in society;
- 2.7. involvement of young people in volunteer activities at events organized by regional centers;
- 2.8. organization of traveling and interactive exhibitions focused on results and scientific evidence in cutting-edge fields of science and technology;
- 2.9. preparation of articles in Romanian for the Romanian press and in English for the foreign press;
- 2.10. creation of audio-visual materials for promoting research results.
3. Network Activities
- 3.1. internships for experience exchange at other regional centers (mobility scheme of the researcher career guidance centers network);
- 3.2. promotional materials for the researcher career guidance centers network: creation of video materials for social media, articles promoting results and interviews with researchers with outstanding performance;
- 3.3. organization of joint events to promote the activities of the researcher career guidance centers network;
- 3.4. joint activities of the researcher career guidance centers network;
- 3.5. creation of its own section of the online portal ERA TALENT PLATFORM ROMANIA, which will be coordinated by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization;
- 3.6. creation and development of a governance system for the national network of researcher career guidance centers. The principles and guidelines will be established by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization and implemented through a protocol signed with applicants whose proposals are accepted for funding.
